For 34 years, Health Care Partners of South Carolina has been meeting the medical and health needs of the underserved and persons without medical insurance in the Horry County and the Pee Dee region. Dr. Covia Stanley, former director of DHEC’s Region Six Public Health Office, is a member of the Health Care Partners board of directors. Several South Carolina schools recently won national recognition from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation for Fighting Childhood Obesity. Southside Middle School of Florence was among them.
