Historical and cultural celebrations of various kinds are being held around the country and in our area, during February, in observance of African-American History Month. One of those events was held in Kingstree, on February 4th, with the opening of the 2012 African-American History Month exhibit at the Cassandra Williams Rush Gallery of African American Arts and Culture. Insight producer and host, Bhakti Hough was there, and prepared a report featuring interviews with the owner and namesake of the gallery, and attendees about the Gallery’s exhibits and African-American history in general.
