Community Engagement Initiative

Radio Baha’i will host the first session of our Community Engagement Initiative on Thursday, December 1st, at the Louis Gregory Baha’i Institute. We will have three more meetings in December: Carvers Bay Library Dec. 8th, Donnelly area of Hemingway Dec. 15th, and Kingstree area on Dec. 19th.

The purpose of the Community Engagement Initiative is to consult and brainstorm about how Radio Baha’i can provide information to improve and uplift the lives of the people in the communities we serve. We are here to serve you, and your presence and input is critically important in helping us to do that in better ways. We will ask you and other members of the community to share with us your concerns and aspirations to guide us in making programing decisions. We want to talk with you about:

  • Your needs and aspirations for your family and community;
  • Radio Baha’is Mission and Vision statements;
  • What the station is doing well and what needs to be improved;
  • Specific programing suggestions - topics, styles of programs, music, and times of the day for specific programs;
  • What kinds of information tools you have access to (Internet via computer at home, the library, or smart phones; text messaging; as well as radio and TV).

There will be three or four Community Engagement meetings in January and February, and then they will go down to one or two per month. These CEI meetings will continue to provide input and direction for future programming, as well as feedback on what the Radio Baha'i is currently doing.
